Transport Provisions 2006 Training
This course covers the new provisions for the management, provision and use of transport vehicles under the DDA 2005, which comes into force December 2006. These regulations focus on the delivery of the service rather than the accessibility of the vehicles themselves.
The course covers the new requirements including:
- Positive policies for inclusion of disabled people
- Review of existing policies, procedures & practices
- Disability audits
- Training of staff and management on the new legislation
- Disability awareness & etiquette training
- Consulting with disabled customers
This course is aimed at vehicle providers including taxis & private hire vehicles; coach & bus operators; breakdown recovery vehicles; local authority licensing officers; rental vehicles.
