

Val Markley OTR BAOT NRAC
After 7 years working as an Access Officer in the public sector, Val Markley joined MaceMark Access Consultants Ltd as a Director and Access Consultant. A very experienced auditor and policy advisor, Val's work has included consultancy services to iconic new build projects, small picnic sites and just about everything in between. She has significant expertise relating to inclusive design within schools, including SEN provisions (buildings), residential facilities, and sports provisions. Recent projects include Destination Access Audit of Kent, University auditoria, transport infrastructure.
A seasoned presenter, Val has delivered numerous seminars and training programmes for architects and chartered surveyors, disability groups, building managers, M&E companies, building contractors and project managers, as well as writing and delivering disability awareness and access auditor training. Over the years Val has been involved in the publication of research projects, presenting findings at national conferences, as well has having a number of articles published in journals, technical magazines and in-house publications.
Prior to her move into the access world, Val worked as a senior health service manager and clinically as a Registered Occupational Therapist.
Val joined the National Register of Access Consultants in September 2005.
